    1. Specify additional four core courses that must be taken;
    2. Change the number of undergraduate courses allowed for course-based and project-based options;
    3. Change the number of out-of-program courses allowed for course-based and project-based options;
    4. Add a clarification on the scope of the project for the project-based option.
    5. Clarify the admission process for the project-based option.

    MEng program in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) is one of the ECE graduate programs offered by the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science and has been accepting students.   

  • Rationale for the modification*

    The proposed program changes are designed to improve the overall quality of the MEng programs. The modification includes several new core courses in a range of fundamental knowledge and skills expected for MEng students. They will improve students' engineering skills at the graduate level and will prepare them for program-specific courses. These changes will enhance students' career opportunities and, thus, be more attractive to students.
